This is an article I found yesterday which takes a look at the potential effects the economic recession may have on broadband video.  It is definitely something worth checking out, it has some interesting ideas as to why broadband video will survive in tough economic times despite some labeling the media format as ‘experimental’.  The part I found fascinating, yet not suprising is that the fundamentals of broadband video have been laid down and in tough times, people would rather stop paying for cable TV over broadband internet.  High hopes for our industry in 09′!

So there’s been some buzz going around about Ogilvy Toronto’s newest effort for Dove.  An interactive choose-your-own-adventure microsite/webseries called Waking Up Hannah.  Now what I find interesting about this series isn’t necessarily the interactivity features (which are well integrated if somewhat superfluous) what I’m excited about is the fact that this is one of the first branded web series to adhere to TV quality production values. Experience WiiNintendo has an interesting spot up on their Experience Wii YouTube channel. It doesn’t seem that special at first, but give it 30 seconds – it’s pretty surprising.
